Reply with quote | #1 | Any woman that is needing help with economics in any state or country contact Dena or leave message here for her reply. If you like to help in your community ask questions as well. Thanks Dena Bower for all you do... Hollywood, Florida Through Behavioral Training Institute and our program Community In Action, we hope to stimulate interest and motivate people to take action to help others and their communities. If you have knowledge, talents, skills, or resources you can share, we are calling upon you to let us know. We are working on many projects that benefit lower economic families and people who are currently unemployed and need the support of as many concerned people as possible. One project beginning July 22 is our W.O.W. (Women Out of Work) Group. This group will be meeting in our Hollywood, Florida office for 6 Wednesdays from 10:30am-Noon. It will provide skills and resources for women who are temporarily out of work or who want to shift gears and become entrepreneurs. It will address business issues to provide a foundation based in reality - not hype! We will give home work assignments to help participants practice skills like networking and marketing, stress management, redesigning resumes, etc. between our sessions. We are excited about helping women through this new project. Our second scheduled project for this summer is our Creative Women Workshops. It is one of the projects we have developed to help improve the economic condition in some lower to no income women and their families. If you have art or craft supplies we could give to our next group of women in the training scheduled on August 1, 2009, please let us know as soon as possible. It is a full-day training including a light lunch that provides the women with basic "cottage business" info, basic marketing and networking to sell their hand-designed products, some basic instructions for a few easy products to make, and more. We are hoping to help them get ready for the Fall-Holiday sales season beginning in October. We can also use short articles on budgeting, marketing, networking & selling online, starting a small or home-based business, getting funding, etc, that we can reprint and share with the workshop attendees and on our websites discussing Community In Action activities. Of course, to help you market yourself and services, we encourage you to include your contact info and a brief bio (a few sentences about yourself) at the end of each article. Please tell your friends and colleagues who may have expertise, supplies or funding that can also help us achieve these goals. Also, let our Community In Action group members know what projects you have, or will be starting, in your community to help people get through difficult times, improve their lives, or improve community programs. services or conditions, by sending your updates to us. We welcome your interest in joining our efforts through membership or your resources. Be an inspiration to others. Sharing information about what is possible can help others take action too. Remember, life will pass you by unless you get into the flow. Become part of positive change - get your Community In Action! Thanks for your concern and interest.
